Don’t Waste A Damaged Instrument Case!

J.L. Smith Parts & Supplies Make Case Repair Profitable.

A damaged musical instrument case is a serious liability for any musician who cares about their instrument, and whether you’re a one-person shop or a full-service music repair facility, the ability to repair and restore damaged cases is a fantastic way to set yourself apart from the competition while providing an easy additional stream of income and improving overall customer satisfaction. Cases often take a real beating, especially with student instruments, and replacement isn’t always a cost effective option. And yet, it would be entirely counterproductive to house a freshly reconditioned instrument in a faulty case. Thankfully, musical instrument case repair is usually quite straightforward when you have the right hardware, and that’s where we come in. We have a wide variety of high quality parts and supplies specifically designed to serve your case repair needs including, drawbolts, latches, stop hinges, leather and plastic handles, case angles, rivets and more. If you’re already doing case repair then you understand that it’s generally a high-margin service and one that customers really appreciate because it actually saves them money. If you’re not equipped for case repair yet, now is the time to get the supplies you need.

Hi, I am in need of two handles to repair my banjo cases. The one in your pic, which has two buckles, is a good likeness to the ones I wish to replace. Can you give me a price for them and also shipping to Scotland. Thanks

      Hello Bill,
Forgive the slow reply. We’ve been traveling for the National Flute Association Convention recently and just now saw your question. You can get all the information you need for case repair supplies on our website: http://www.jlsmithco.com. Look under Parts: Case Repair on the side menu. The handle with 2 buckles is #162019 and it sells for $39.80. We’ve recently instituted new shipping policies to make it easier for our over seas customers. Shipping to Scotland for either First Class Mail International or UPS Worldwide Expedited would be 10% of your order, with an $18 minimum and a $60 maximum. Let me know if you have any other questions and again, please forgive the delay in getting back to you.
